Resolution Establishing Purchase Procedures for the Town of Wappinger
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January
2n', 2007.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

Maureen McCarthy
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by
Councilman Paoloni.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law, a Budget is prepared each year by the Supervisor
detailing expenses and revenues for the ensuing year, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board shall review said tentative budget and reject or modify any
budgetary item as they deem appropriate, and
WHEREAS, that after due process of Public Hearing and provision for additional
amendments, the annual Budget shall be adopted,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that within the confines of
section 117 of the Town Law, where provisions have been made in the annual budget for
specific, large expenditures, further approval by the Town Board to consider the purchase of
those expenditures need not be sought, provided that no other part of the Town's Procurement
Policy is circumvented, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Town Board permission to seek bids on various
large purchases may not be required if any item is available through either State or County Bids.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
