MEMO TO: SUPERVISOR JOSEPH RUGGIERO

RE: JOHN F. YOUNGMAN PERSONAL TIME AWAY FROM JOB
SUPERVISOR

TOWN COUNCIL

JOSEPH P. PAOLONI
Mr. Youngman has made a request asking that he be able to take some personal time off
so that he may assist in taking care of some work that needed at his mother's home in
Florida.
He has requested that he be able to take off from Monday, April 2, 2007 to Friday,
May 18, 2007, returning to work on Monday, May 21, 2007.
Mr. Youngman will require 34 days off. He has 10 vacation days carried over from last
year and as of his anniversary date on April 21, 2007 he will have 10 additional vacation
days to use. He will also have earned 3 personal days before the end of his vacation
period. This would require that he take 11 days without pay.
Mr. Youngman is an exceptional employee and has a great amount of skills in many of
our maintenance functions and is always ready to use them. We would be able to use his
skills prior to his vacation so that large jobs, like installing the docks at Chelsea, would
be done before he leaves.
Without hesitation, I recommend that the Town approve this request.
Sincerely,
Ralph J. Holt, Chairman
Recreation Commission
