Re: 2008 NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)
Racation Program

Dear Sut)dN ddr'iT aaiero:
it gives n# great pleasure to inform you that the Dutchess County Youth Board
approved our grant application for the 2008 OCFS funding cycle. The Recreation
Program was awarded Youth Development Delinquency Prevention (YDDP) funds
in the amount of $6,726. Please note, YDDP funding is contingent upon OCFS' final
approval of the County's 2008 Resource Allocation Plan.
Dutchess County government enjoys partnerships with many entities, including New
York State, our own local municipalities, and non-profit agencies. These successful
partnerships allow more programs and services to be delivered to our residents at a
lower cost. Certainly; the Recreation Program is an excellent example of just
that—state tax dollars, administrative and support assistance from the Dutchess
County Youth Bureau, and actual services delivered by the locality.
Enclosed is the 2008 Municipal Grant Follow-up Requirements sheet that provides
you with important information and due dates in order to process this grant.
Please accept my thanks and those of the Dutchess County Youth Board members
for your continuing commitment to the youth of your community through quality
program delivery. We look forward to working with your staff and visiting your
P programs in the future.
Sincerely,
WILLIAM R. STEINHAUS
Dutchess County Executive
