Resolution Authorizing Town Clerk to Attend Conference
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 13`h day of February 2006, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll

The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Paoloni and seconded by
Mr. Bettina
WHEREAS, the Town Board received a letter by John C. Masterson, Town Clerk,
dated February 8, 2006 a copy of which is attached hereto, requesting authorization to
allow John C. Masterson, Town Clerk, to attend the New York State Town Clerks
Association Conference, which will be held on April 23, 24, 25, 26 at the Saratoga Hotel
and Conference Center in Saratoga Springs, New York, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that John C. Masterson, Town
Clerk, is hereby authorized to attend the New York State Town Clerks Association
Conference on April 23, 24, 25., 26, 2006 at the Saratoga Springs Hotel and Conference
Center in Saratoga Springs New York at a cost not to exceed Four Hundred Forty One
dollars and 26/100 ($441.26).

Dear Fellow Town Clerk,
I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to attend the 24t'
Annual Conference of the New York State Town Clerks Association, which will be
held April 23-26, 2oo6 in the beautiful, quaint city of Saratoga Springs. This is
the only conference designed exclusively for the education and professional
growth of town clerks. As you review the enclosed information, I'm sure you will
agree that the program offered wail assure quality education. in recur.. for t..x
dollars well spent.
Included in your packets you will find the NYSTCA registration form, The
Saratoga Hotel reservation form, directions, a program outline and a page
highlighting special events. In order to expedite the registration process, we are
requesting a separate registration form for each person attending. Please read all
forms carefully before completing them and be sure to save a copy for your
records. Remember to include your conference registration fee as well as the pre-.
registration fee if you plan to attend the Notary Public Seminar on Sunday, which
is being conducted by the ever -popular renowned Alfred Piombino. The
conference hotel fills up quickly so please send your reservation early and keep in
mind that the deadline is March 24, 2005.
Representatives from state agencies will be available along with some of
your favorite vendors. On. Tuesday, consider inviting your State Legislators to
attend our Annual banquet. This is a perfect opportunity for them to network
with the clerks of New York State. On Wednesday, Rex Osborne will present a
session entitled Sensitivity in the Real World. Rex, a seasoned keynote
speaker and popular TV and radio personality, is noted for his humorous
approach and genuine appreciation of the experiences that shape each individual.
As spring bursts forth with rebirth and renewal, let us take this
opportunity to rekindle old friendships and create new relationships with one
