Resolution Adopting Certificate of Adjusted Base Proportions for the 2006 Assessment Roll
From the New York State Office of Real Property Services
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August
28th, 2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Town has received a Certificate of Adjusted Base Proportions for the
Assessment Roll for calendar year 2006 from the New York State Office of Real Property
Services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth
and adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby accepts and adopts the base percentages, current
percentages, and current base proportions as set forth in the Certificate of Adjusted
Base Proportions for the 2006 Assessment Roll, received from the New York State
Office of Real Property Services, a copy of which is attached hereto.
3. Chris Masterson, Town Clerk, is hereby authorized to certify on behalf of the Town
the Certificate of Adjusted Base Proportions for the 2006 Assessment Roll.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Column C is the percentage change in the estimate of full value between the 2005 State equalization rate and the
2006 State equalization rate due to the change in full value standard.
This percentage change is important because county and school taxes are apportioned according to a municipality's
share of the full value of the county or the school. A municipality will be apportioned a larger share of the tax levy if its
full value increases by a larger percentage than others, or if its full value decreases less than the decrease for other
municipalities in the county or school.
The information shown in columns B and C is subject to change as the other tentative rates are established in the
county and as rates are finalized after the completion of rate complaint processing. You will be sent a complete
report when we have established 2006 State equalization rates for all municipalities in your county.
