Dear Super-rgiero:It gives measure to advise you that your application for 2006
Municipal Recreation funds is accepted. At a recent meeting of the
Dutchess County Youth Board your "Recreation 2006" program (Code No.
061327108033) in the amount of $6,375 was approved. As you may
know, final approval of these YDDP funds is contingent upon NYS Office
of Children & Family Services (OCFS) approval of the county's 2006
Resource Allocation Plan (RAP). Total 2006 YDDP allocation is $371,983
or $4,44 per youth, based on our youth population of 83,780. Municipal
recreation eligibility is $1.00 per youth, and municipal service eligibility is
$0.89 per youth. This represents approximately about a 2% reduction in
current YDDP funding.
Dutchess County govemment enjoys partnerships with many entities,
including New York State and our own local municipalities. These
successful partnerships allow more programs and services to be delivered
to our residents at a lower cost. Certainly, the Municipal Recreation
Program is an excellent example of just that ----state tax dollars,
administrative and support assistance from our own Dutchess County
Youth Bureau, and actual services delivered by the locality.
The enclosed fact sheet provides technical information you will need going
forward to process this award.
Please accept my thanks and those of the Dutchess County Youth Board
members for your continuing commitment to the youth of your community
through quality program delivery. We look forward to working with your
staff and visiting your programs in the future.
Sincere ,
WILLIA R. STEINFI,AUS
