AUTHORIZATION TO CONDUCT SPACE STUDY OF COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Valdati
and
seconded by Councilman ('olsev
RESOLVED, that Donald L. Swartz, of Cerniglia & Swartz, Architects, 134 Academy
Street, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601-4312, is hereby authorized to undertake a space study for
the purposes of rearrangement of the Town Comptroller's Office in accordance with a written
proposal dated January 9, 2002 at a cost not to exceed the sum of $2,780.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign said proposal
on behalf of the Town and authorize commencement of the work thereby.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

It'Was a pleasure meeting you the other day. On behalf of our firm, I wouid like to thank yw for
inviting us to continue our relationship as architects for the Town. Ve are submmio this proposal
in response to your, request for assistance in reanaagemem of the Cowptro&z office and creation
of offices for.the T*wn Board.
As discussed, until such time as the of the scope off renovation work can be de mined, a
fixed fee for the project is unable to be offered. Therefore, we propose working on an hourly
basis to develop a schematic design plan which addresses your space needs. First we v1 conduct a
programmsng meeting with representatives of the Comptrollers office and yourself to help us
understand the Departments needs. At this time we walk also- be documenang exsting conditions
andand augmenting existing construction driwinp. Schematic design options wM then
be prepared revues and comment. Once accepted, we will prepare a fixed fee proposal for the
rendering of professional services -in conjunction with the proposed renovation.

PRE -DESIGN
Conduct a programming meeting with the Comptroll n reprmentauve(s) to identify 'space

Document and prepare m6stiag conditions -drawings.
SCHEMATIC DESIGN

► Modifydocuments as required to reflect any changes and issue a final schemadc drawing
and a Statement of. Probable Construction Cost.
Our fee for the above outlined Scope of Basic Services wM be invoiced on an hourly basis in
accordance with the attached fee schedule to the upset sum of Two Thousand -Seven Hundred and
EightyDollars. ($2,780.00).

Principal: At the fixed rue of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per hour.
For the purposes of this. schedule, the principals are Philip- A.
Cerniglia and Donald L. Swartz
Technical: Level l: At the fixed rate of Seventy -Five Dollars ($75.00) per hour. For
the purposes of this schedule, Technical Level 1 personnel
include project managers.
Technical Level 2: At the fixed rate of Fifty -Eight Dollars ($58.00) per hour. For
the purposes of chis schedule, Tcchnical Level 2 personnel '
include senior draftspersons and CAD operators.
Technical Level 3: • At the fixed rate of Forty Dollars ($40.00) per hour. For the
purposes of schedule,' Technical Level 3 personnel include junior
draftspersons and CAD operators.
Administration: At the fixed rate of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per hour. For the
purposes of this schedule, Administration personnel include
secretarial/clerical.
ConsultingEngineers: At 1.15 times the amount as billed to this office.
