2. Justice Court
Supervisor Jiava said she spoke with Justice and they said they were satisfied with it. Everything
was basically the same as 2017. Councilman Beale asked to have the budget read, 'Animal Court
Officers'.
3. Animal Control
Fredrick Awino confirmed that Animal Control is pretty much the same as 2017. Councilman
Beale re -iterated that the new Animal Control vehicle will be funded from the Supervisor's
budget.

Comptroller Awino spoke on new software. He said that there will be licence fee and annual fee.
Subsequent to the meeting he posted the following quote:

Initial training, implementation, and travel costs are included with the license fees. Training is a combination of on-site and remote
sessions. if more hours are desired for a specific application, the hours from another may be allocated to additional training in that
area.
The first year of support and maintenance are included with the license fees. The fees listed l are for year two support andl
maintenance. The annual maintenance fees iinicllude all federal and state mandated changes, annual l up-gradesand enhancements,
unlimited phone, email, and web based support, and user group membership. A.IIII software a....pplicatiionsare warranted for one year
from the date of installation,. . A purchase order must be sent prior to initiating a work order for installation, and training to be
scheduled.
Comptroller Awino suggested that although the license fee is steep it covers the entire Town's
operations.
The discussion continued and then turned to the acceptance of credit cards for taxes.
5. Assessor
Assessor Harkins has one issue on his salary that has to be worked out between the two towns
given that he is a CAP assessor or joint assessor of Fishkill and Wappinger.

The Resident Town Tax Rate is calculated by multiplying the Tax Levy for the Town (A Fund)
by the Resident Base Proportion divided by the Resident Assessment to yield the $/000
Assessment). The commercial rate the same but using the commercial data. The Outside village
rates are calculated using the outside village data.

8. Town Board and Supervisor
Supervisor said everything has remained flat in the town board line and supervisor's line.
Supervisor Jiava explained the salary increases last year for the elected officials that have not
had raises in the last 9 years.
Comptroller Awino produced the following regarding the tax rates:

Comptroller Awino went over estimates of the State Aid, revenues collected for Sales tax,
revenues from Verizon and Cablevision fees, and Mortgage refinance revenues that supplement
the tax levy.
