Kathy and Bob DeStefano have 4 main goals with the company. 1- Provide a safe operation to the guests it serves with proper maintenance, inspections and safety measures_ 2- Provide an outstanding customer experience on the carnival midway with a superior set of rides, 3- Develop an outstanding east coast of the USA route servicing communities from Florida to Maine. 4- Be profitable. Florida State Fair Delaware State Fair North Carolina State Fair DLA has created the Long Island FunFest at Suffolk Community College in NY. We handle the booking of entertainment,full marketing campaign &independent vendors. Held in June of each year. We also play a variety of different locations in malls, shopping centers, concerts,festivals and private rentals. DLA is constantly improving its equipment, staff, and relationships with bona fide events. In June of 2017, we provided our carousel to the White House Congressional Picnic on the lawn! Dreamland Amusements General Policies DLA has 100 or so employees for the DLA ride operations,within our 2 units. Managers are responsible for proper training of the individuals on the various rides they may be assigned, DLA does an annual background check on everyone,and throughout the year as we travel to different fairs and municipalities that require a recent check. DLA management follows the rules of each state we operate in, with regards to wages, breaks, record keeping,and hiring practices for all persons, in addition to any ride safety rules or inspections required by each state. DLA provides a blue embroidered uniform shirt for ride personnel, red shirts for concession crews, a special edition Bloomsburg Fair hat with your logo for all, and weather gear for all persons working in any capacity on the carnival midway areas. Staff needs to wear black pants or shorts and comfortable clean shoes. Each person will be required to have a DLA ID badge at all times when working on the DLA carnival midway. DLA policy is that no persons in our uniform can engage in smoking on the midway areas. DLA policy is that no persons in our uniform can use an electronic devise that is not part of a ride operation, Personal calls or use is prohibited while on duty at a ride. DLA policy toward customers—if there is any question or disagreement at a ride, supervisors are immediately contacted and involved, or customers sent to our office on the midway for resolution, We plan our events so there are proper documented breaks given to staff, so they may perform at the level of service customers expect for ride safety and proper customer service. Supervisors constantly monitor the ride operation and oversee ongoing maintenance and daily ride inspections. Daily ride inspections are performed by assigned staff and ride supervisors must sign off on each inspection. ECONOMIC IMPACT When choosing DLA, we commit to a local community.
