2018-782018-78 Resolution Recognizing Cub Scout Pack 15 For 50 Years Of Service To Our Community At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on March 12, 2018. WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 15 was organized in 1967; WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 15 was originally charted by the United Methodist Church of Wappingers Falls; WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 15 has built a strong connection of service to the surrounding community; WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 15 was faced with difficult circumstances in 2013, National Boy Scouts of America enrollment opportunities changed to find a new charter or to potentially fold; WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 15 was successful in finding a new charter at the First Presbyterian Church of Wappingers Falls, due to the hard work of many volunteers toward their commitment to Scouting; WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 15 has provided hundreds of families an opportunity to participate in Scouting; WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger recognizes the significant value of the Cub Scout program and the importance of the character building values that the Boy Scouts of America represents; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger recognize Cub Scout Pack 15 for 50 Years of Service to the Town of Wappinger and Village of Wappingers Falls; AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution, being duly adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, be presented to Cubmaster Thomas Gallman, Sr. as a congratulatory token on behalf the residents of the Town of Wappinger.
