Resolution Authorizing Change Order Nos. 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 For The Emergency Services
Building Renovation Project General Construction Contract No. 17-003G
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 14,
2018.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by
Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, by Resolution 2017-165 adopted by the Town Board on October 10, 2017,
the Town Board awarded a bid to J.C. Millbank Construction Co., Inc. (General Construction
Contract) in the amount of $563,500.00 for renovations to be made to the Emergency Services
Building; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board previously approved Change Order Nos. 1 and 2 to the
aforementioned contract in the amount of $74,031.00, which resulted in a revised contract sum in
the amount of $637,531.00; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board further approved Change Order Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 to the
aforementioned contract on the amount of $78,169.00, which resulted in a revised contract sum
in the amount of $715,700.00; and
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering & Surveying
Consultants, PLLC, by letter dated May 14, 2018, a copy of which is attached hereto, have
approved five additional Change Orders as hereinafter set forth, which five Change Orders will
result in a new contract price of $750, 108.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby approves the following five Change Orders:
A. Change Order No. 7, which increases the total contract price by the
amount of $2,582.00, resulting in a new contract price of $718,282.00, a copy of which
Change Order is attached hereto;
B. Change Order No. 8, which increases the total contract price by the
amount of $2,686.00, resulting in a new contract price of $720,968.00, a copy of which
Change Order is attached hereto;
C. Change Order No. 9, which increases the total contract price by the
amount of $1,840.00, resulting in a new contract price of $722,808.00, a copy of which
Change Order is attached hereto;
D. Change Order No. 10, which increases the total contract price by the
amount of $9,057.00, resulting in a new contract price of $731,865.00, a copy of which is
attached hereto; and
E. Change Order No. 11, which increases the total contract price by the
amount of $18,243.00, resulting in a new contract price of $750,108.00, a copy of which
is attached hereto.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
