The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilwoman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, a macroburst storm with winds from 85 to 105 miles per hour
caused substantial damage in the Town of Wappinger including to Town Highways; and
WHEREAS, a large number of trees were downed in the Town of Wappinger and had to be removed by
the Town Highway Department and chipped into mulch; and
WHEREAS, guide rails and other highway equipment were damaged by the storm and needs to be
replaced; and
WHEREAS, the storm related expenses have depleted various budget lines in the Highway Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
The Town Board hereby authorizes the following budget line transfers:
