Authorizing Contract For Environmental Study
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 30, 2018.

WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Highway Garage is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, over the decades when the Highway Garage was in use, petroleum and other chemicals
were stored on the site; and
WHEREAS, prior to commencement of detailed design of a Highway Garage, it is prudent for the
Town to conduct and environmental site assessment of the property determine if any contamination is present;
and
WHEREAS, WCD Group, LLC has the professional knowledge to conduct the environmental site
assessment; and
WHEREAS, WCD Group, LLC has provided a letter of engagement with a description of services to be
performed which meets the needs of the Town of Wappinger; and
WHEREAS, the transfer of funds between budgetary appropriation lines is required to pay for the
environmental study;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to sign the engagement letter with WCD Group, LLC
in substantially the form attached hereto at a cost of $20,020.

3. The Supervisor is directed to vouchers for payment upon receipt of the study in accordance with the
Procurement Policy.
4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
