Dear Board Members:
As an outcome of the last Workshop meeting, I conducted an additional
field inspection in the Dana Place/Wildwood Drive area to assess the
overall runoff patterns.
As previously reported, the runoff from the Widmer Road area and
Berberich Pond flows in a northerly direction partially across the rear of
lots adjacent to Dana Place, and partially across Dana Place. The
overland flow then crosses property fronting on Wildwood Drive, and
eventually winds up inundating Wildwood Drive, the low point of the
drainage area.
To capture this runoff prior to it inundating Wildwood Drive, it is,
necessary to intercept it at some point further south than Wildwood
Drive. An appropriate location to do this would be in the back yard area
of the lots around the cul-de-sac of Dana Place.
From here, this runoff can be piped down to Wildwood Drive in the
closed storm drain system. This would preclude the runoff from
inundating Wildwood' Drive.
As a side light to this, it would also preclude the runoff from inundating
the rear yards of Dana Place and Wildwood Drive.
If the Board is in need of further information, please do not hesitate to
contact this office.
Very truly yours,
.... RE C N

Brian Place Drainage
Dear Board Members:
At the February Town Board meeting, we were authorized to research
the Dana Place and Brian Place drainage conditions.
We field inspected-both sites with Graham Foster on February 21, 1996,
and report the following:
DANA PLACE DRAINAGE:
Presently, there is a stream that flows from the area south of Dana
Place toward the cul-de-sac, across the cul-de-sac, and eventually down
toward Wildwood Drive. It is proposed to construct a closed storm
drainage system from the intersection of Dana Place and Wildwood
Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac on Dana Place.
At the point, the appropriate number of catch basins would be placed to
allow:
a) the overland flow that currently traverses the cul-de-sac
to be trapped into a catch basin;
AND
b) a place for the residents to hook in a drainage pipe from
the rear of their property to more effectively drain the
existing stream.
The construction value of this work is approximately $41,250.00.
Design and inspection fees are estimated to be $8,750.00 for a total
project cost of $50,000.00.

RE: Brian/Dana Place
BRIAN PLACE DRAINAGE:
It is proposed to construct approximately 200' of 15" pipe and three (3)
catch basins to connect into the existing catch basin at Wildwood Drive.
This would allow for better collection of street runoff and to afford the
residents a place to drain sump pumps from garages and rear yards.
The construction value of the above work is approximately $22,500.00.
Design and inspection fees is $5,000.00. Bring a total project cost of
$27,500.00.
If the Board wishes to discuss either of these projects further, please do
not hesitate to contact this office.
