Resolution Awarding Contract For Water & Electrical Service Replacements For
Carnwath Farms Administration Building
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on December
10, 2018.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Johnston and seconded by
Supervisor Thurston.
WHEREAS, the Town Board authorized the Engineer to the Town to prepare bid
specifications and contract documents for work to provide replacements for the water service and
electrical service supplying service to the Carnwath Farm Administration Building; and
WHEREAS, bids and specifications were prepared by Morris Associates Engineering &
Surveying Consultants, PLLC, Engineers to the Town, for the required construction work; and
WHEREAS, bids were duly advertised and solicited for the work to be done and three bids
were received by the Town Clerk and were opened on November 30, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:

WHEREAS, by letter dated December 4, 2018, the Engineers to the Town has advised that
the lowest bidder CDE Electric Inc.'s bid was not acceptable as it did not include all of the work
specified in the contract; and
WHEREAS, the bid from Stoneykill Contracting, Inc. is conforming and is reasonable;
WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town has investigated the contracting history of
Stoneykill Contracting, Inc. and determines that it is a responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town recommends that the Town Board should award
the contract to Stoneykill Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $41,600 all as set forth in the
aforementioned recommendation letter, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the contract for the Carnwath Farms
Administration Building Water & Electrical Service Replacements to Stoneykill Contracting, Inc.,
113 Stoneykill Road, Wappingers Falls, New York 12590 in the amount of $41,600.
2. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications, the Town Board hereby
authorizes the Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by the Engineers to the
Town including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy Stoneykill
Contracting, Inc., after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that Stoneykill Contracting, Inc.,
has duly executed the contract documents, has supplied the necessary Performance Bond, Payment
Bond and provided insurance certificates as required by the bid specifications.
Funding for this project shall be appropriated from a line item based on the recommendation from
the Comptroller/Town Accountant.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
