Subject : Application of Mary Ann Gasko for a Special Use Permit
to operate a Day Nursery School on 58 All Angels Hill Road
At the August 18th, 1975 meeting, the Planning Board of the
Town of Wappinger adopted the following resolution
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Planning Board has received an
application from Mary Ann Gasko for site plan approval and a
Special Use Permit to operate a day nursery school on property
located on 58 All Angels Hill Road, in the Town of Wappinger, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said application at the
Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York, on Monday,
August 18th, 1975, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Planning Board reviewed said
application and referred it to the Dutchess County Department of
Planning for recommendation in accordance with Section 239-1 and
239-m of General Municipal Law and a recommendation was received
from them dated July 23rd, 1975 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT' the Town of Wappinger
Planning Board approves the site plan of Mary Ann Gasko, received
by the Planning Board on July 21st, 1975a
IT IS, THEREFORE, RECOMMENDED THAT a Special Use Permit be
issued subject to the following conditions:
1 . The applicant shall comply with the requirements of the
Department of Social Services with regard to Day Nursery Schools.
2 . A copy of the approval of the New York State Department of
Social services shall. be submitted for Planning Board files .
3 . Location and size of any signs must be approved by the
Zoning Administrator prior to their installation .

4. Lavoratory facilities shall be installed downstairs
within six months from the date of the issuance of the

This will be a nursery school voluntarily registered with the New York
-tate Education Department.
The director or other person in charge and all persons caring for the children
h ave attained the education, training and experience required by the State.
Nursery room shall be safe and suitable for the comfort and care of the
children and shall be provided and maintained in a good state of repair and
sanitation.

Rooms to be occupied by children shall have:
1. Adequate light and ventilation;
2. Adequate protection against insects, All windows and doors shall be
openable and shall be equipped with appropriate safety devices where necessary.

constitute or create a fire or safety hazard,
Smoke detection alarm and fire extinguisher have been provided.
The nursery room shall be e uipped with a first aid kit which shall be
kept ade uately stocked for emergency treatment.
Toxic paints or finishes shall not be used on walls, window sills, toys
or any other e uipment, materials or furnishings which may be used by children
or within their ,reach.
All corridors and approaches to fire escapes and other exits shall be
