Resolution Authorizing Community Garden At Carnwath Farms And Transfer Of Funds For Fence
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 28, 2019.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, a Community Garden provides residents with an opportunity to grow healthy food locally; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient area in Carnwath Farms for the creation of a Community Garden; and
WHEREAS, fencing for the Community Garden is required to protect the produce from animals and vandals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town Board hereby authorizes the area of Carnwath Farms shown on the attached map for use as a
community garden.
2. The Town Board accepts the quote of Giacorp to install fencing around the Community Garden at a cost of
$ 9,564.50.
3. The Town Board hereby authorizes the following budget line transfers for the fence installation work:

$ 9,564.50 Parkland Trust
4. Payments under the contract shall be paid on vouchers submitted and reviewed as required by law.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
