At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 13,
2019.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by
Councilman Phillips.
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, directed
the Engineers to the Town to prepare a a map, plan and report, including an estimate of cost,
pursuant to Section 202-b of the Town Law, relating to the increase and improvement of the
facilities of the United Wappinger Water District, in the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York (the “Water District”), being the replacement and rehabilitation of wells at the Hilltop
Water Treatment Facility and the purchase and installation of treatment improvements at the
Meadowwood Water Treatment Facility, including incidental improvements and expenses in
connection therewith, at a maximum estimated cost of $1,545,000; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board duly adopted a resolution on April 8, 2019, calling a public hearing to
consider said proposed increase and improvement and estimate of expense, to be held at Town

Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, in Wappingers Falls, New York, in said Town, on the 13 day of May,
2019, at 7:30 o’clock, Eastern Daylight Saving Time; and
WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing was duly published and posted in the manner provided by
law and proof thereof has been submitted to said Town Board; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held at the time and place aforesaid, at which all persons
interested were duly heard; and
WHEREAS, said Town Board has duly considered all of the evidence given at such public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
ORDERED, by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, as
follows:
1. Based upon the evidence given at the aforesaid public hearing, it is hereby found and
determined to be in the public interest to provide for the aforesaid increase and
improvement of the facilities of the United Wappinger Water District, being the replacement
and rehabilitation of wells at the Hilltop Water Treatment Facility and the purchase and
installation of treatment improvements at the Meadowwood Water Treatment Facility,
including incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith, at a maximum
estimated cost of $1,545,000, and the same are hereby authorized subject to the provisions
of Section 2 hereof
2. Definite plans, specifications and a careful estimate of the expense of the aforesaid
improvement are hereby directed to be prepared and the Town Attorney is hereby directed
to assist in the preparation of a proposed contract and to submit the same to this Town
Board for examination and approval.
3. The Town Clerk shall cause a Certified Copy of this resolution, the Order Calling the
Hearing, the Notice of Public Hearing and the affidavits of posting and publication to be
filed in the Office of the Dutchess County Clerk.
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
