1. Municity Software - Building Department
A representative from Municity gave a demonstration of the cloud based upgrade of the Building
Department Software that would be compatible with Windows 10. Support for the Desktop
version will freeze by June 1st.

RESOLUTION: 2020-74
Proclamation Recognizing March 14th As Math Recognition Day
th
WHEREAS, March 14 is observed as Pi Day since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant
digits of the symbol for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter in decimal form which
continues to infinity without repeating; and
th
WHEREAS, March 14 has been proclaimed as Math Recognition Day to commemorate the
mathematical constant (Pi) that has been studied throughout history and is central in mathematics as
well as science and engineering; and
WHEREAS
who perform better in math and science have higher graduation and college attendance rates; and
WHEREAS, aptitude in mathematics, science and engineering is essential for a knowledge-based
society; and
th
WHEREAS, on March 14 students are recognized for their outstanding work in mathematics;
and
th
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to proclaim that March 14 be recognized as Math
Recognition Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.

2. The Town Board hereby recognizes and proclaims March 14th as Math Recognition Day
as part of the annual celebration of Pi Day and encourages schools and educators to observe the day with
appropriate activities that teach students about Pi and encourage the abstract study of mathematics.

Resolution Authorizing The Settlement Of The Tax Certiorari Proceedings Regarding
Riverbend At Wappingers Falls, LLC And Riverbend At Wappingers Falls Ii, L.L.C.
WHEREAS, there is now pending in the Dutchess County Supreme Court tax certiorari
proceedings commenced in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Riverbend at Wappingers Falls,
LLC and Riverbend at Wappingers Falls II, L.L.C. regarding parcels of real property located at
80 Sterling Drive, Grid No. 6158-19-721014 and 101-249 Beacon Lane, Grid No. 6158-20-
779013 seeking reductions in the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax assessments; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioners have agreed to withdraw the Petitions for 2015, 2016, 2017,
2018 and 2019 requesting reductions for said tax assessments; and
WHEREAS, the Assessor and Special Counsel to the Town have recommended a
settlement of these tax review proceedings; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby approves a
settlement on behalf of the Town of Wappinger of the tax review proceedings for the years 2015,
2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 as it pertains to:

RESOLUTION: 2020-9
Resolution To Authorize The Town Supervisor, Town Highway Superintendent And Town
Board To Execute The Agreement For The Expenditure Of Highway Moneys
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 284 of the Highway Law, the Town Board and the
Town Highway Superintendent are required to enter into a written Agreement stating the places
and manner in which the Highway fund appropriation for repairs and improvements are to be
expended; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Highway Superintendent and
the Town Board agree that the monies levied and collected in the Town for repair and
improvement of highways, and received from New York State for State Aid for the repair and
improvement of Highways shall be expended in accordance with the annexed Agreement for the
Expenditure of Highway Moneys; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and the Town Board are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the attached AGREEMENT FOR THE EXPENDITURES OF
HIGHWAY MONEYS in duplicate and file said agreement with the Town Clerk; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is directed to forward one
executed Agreement to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Public Works in his capacity as
County Superintendent of Highways.
