2020-105 2020-105 Resolution Authorizing The Settlement Of Tax Certiorari Proceedings Regarding Imperial Improvements, LLC At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 11, 2020. WHEREAS, there is now pending in the Dutchess County Supreme Court tax certiorari proceedings commenced in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Imperial Improvements, LLC regarding real property located at 1574-1576 Route 9 in the Village of Wappingers Falls, Town of Wappinger, County of Dutchess, Tax Grid # 6158-15-589264, seeking a reduction in the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax assessment for those respective tax rolls; and WHEREAS, the Town Assessor and Special Counsel have recommended a settlement of these tax review proceedings; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby approves a settlement on behalf of the Town of Wappinger of the tax review proceedings for the years 2018 and 2019, as it pertains to: 1574-1576 Route 9, Tax Grid # 6158-15-589264 Year Original Total Revised Total Reduction Assessment Assessment 2016/17 $6,760,000 $6,760,000 $-0- 2017/18 $6,760,000 $6,760,000 $-0- 2018/19 $6,760,000 $5,600,000 $1,160,000 2019/20 $6,760,000 $5,600,000 $1,160,000 ; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor, Town Assessor and Craig M. Wallace, Esq., Special Counsel to the Town of Wappinger, are hereby authorized to take all action necessary and appropriate to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
