Resolution Authorizing Budget Transfer To Pay Insurance Deductible
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on March 22, 2021.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilwoman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger recently settled litigation that was covered by the Town’s public
officers liability insurance which has a deductible of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the Town received the attached invoice for the payment of the deductible from New York
Municipal Insurance Reciprocal in the amount of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the Town Comptroller has reviewed the 2021 Budget and has determined that a budget
transfer is required for the payment of the invoice as a sufficient appropriation has not been made for the
charge; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has agreed that it is in the best interest of the Town to make the transfer
requested;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the following
budget line transfer to pay for the attached invoice:
