Resolution Establishing A Standard Work Day For Elected And Appointed Officials
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on March 28, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by Casella.
WHEREAS, effective August 12, 2009, New York State adopted a new regulation 315.4 for additional reporting
requirements for elected or appointed officials that more clearly defines the process for reporting time worked for those
officials who are members of the New York State Retirement System; and
WHEREAS,a record of work activities was submitted to Human Resources by an elected official who does not
maintain a daily record of actual time worked; and
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby establishes the
following as standard work days for elected officials and will report the following days worked to the New York State and
Local Employees' Retirement System based on the record of activities maintained and submitted by this official to the
Human Resources Department; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger does hereby attest that the above
elected official has submitted log of activities and signed Form IRS 2417-A Standard Work Day and Reporting Resolution
for Elected and Appointed Officials; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that within 15 days after the expiration of the posting period, the Town Clerk shall
file the completed IRS 2417-A form with the Office of the New York State Comptroller.
