Resolution Awarding Contract For I&I Investigation
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on June 13, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by Councilwoman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation has made changes to its sewer
treatment standards which require the replacement of the Wildwood Sewer Plant; and
WHEREAS, an investigation of the location of Inflow and Infiltration within the Wildwood Sewer District
collection system is required to upgrade and maintain the performance of the sewer system by reducing the entry of
Stormwater and groundwater into the sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, Arold Construction Company, Inc. has a NY State Bid contract for I & I Investigation
Services that has been approved by the NYS Office of General Services; and
WHEREAS, a proposal from Arold Construction Company, Inc. dated 1/21/22 is attached; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town recommends that the Town Board should award the contract to
Arold so that an I & I study can be conducted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards a contract for I & I Investigation Services to Arold
Construction Company, Inc. in accordance with the attached proposal for an amount not to exceed $72,000.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to execute the contract documents and a Notice
of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to Arold Construction Company, Inc., after the Attorney to
the Town has confirmed that the contractors have duly executed the contract documents and supplied the necessary
documents as required by the OGS Contract.
3. Funding for this project shall be appropriated from bond proceeds that have been approved for the
Wildwood Sewer Replacement project.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
