Resolution Authorizing Agreement For Dial-A-Ride Services With Dutchess County
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on November 14, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Supervisor Thurston and seconded by Councilwoman
Bettina.
WHEREAS,the Town has previously entered into Agreements with Dutchess County to provide a joint
service transportation system for senior citizens and handicapped individuals; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement has been amended and extended from time to time; and
WHEREAS, Dutchess County has presented a proposal to the Town to provide such transportation
service for calendar year 2023 as set forth in a proposed Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS,the Town desires to enter into said Agreement for calendar year 2023, on the terms and
conditions as set forth in the Agreement; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED,that the Town Board hereby accepts the terms and conditions set forth and
contained in the Agreement and agrees to pay the annual sum of Fifty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Seventy
Dollars ($52,270.00) for a transportation service system for senior citizens and handicapped individuals,
payable in quarter-annual payments as contained in the Dial-A-Ride Transportation 2023 Municipality
Payment/Service Schedule (Exhibit B-1); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Wappinger hereby approves the Dial-A-Ride Agreement, in
effect for calendar year 2023, in the form annexed hereto and authorizes and directs the Supervisor to execute
the Agreement by and on behalf of the Town of Wappinger and to provide a fully executed copy of the
Agreement to the Town Clerk when received.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
