2023-51 2023-51 Resolution Authorizing 1-800-Got Junk To Remove Junk And Debris From 1397 Route 376 And Payment Of Said Services At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 10, 2023. WHEREAS, an Order to Remedy in connection with the accumulation of junk and debris, amongst other things, has been issued to property located at 1397 Route 376 in the Town of Wappinger pursuant to Chapter 185 of the Town of Wappinger Code; and WHEREAS, said Order to Remedy has not been complied with; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 185-6, the Town has sought proposals for the removal of the junk and debris located on the subject property; and WHEREAS,the Town has received a proposal from 1-800-GOT-JUNK, a copy of which is annexed hereto; now,therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board has reviewed the proposal from 1-800-GOT- JUNK in the amount of$2,864.24 and authorizes them to enter onto the property located at 1397 Route 376 and remove all junk and debris; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that appropriation for this proposal shall be made from Unallocated B Fund Balance and the Comptroller shall amend the budget accordingly; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment shall be made upon vouchers reviewed and approved as required by law; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the expenses incurred by the Town shall be assessed against the property and shall constitute a lien against the property and levy such lien on the Town tax bill if not paid by the owner; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
