2023-1152023-115 Resolution Acknowledging Hiring Of A New Employee In The Highway Department At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on September 14, 2023. WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent of the Town of Wappinger has hired Mark Murphy as a Motor Equipment Operator, starting September 5, 2023; and WHEREAS, this position is non-competitive; and WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources, and WHEREAS, this appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources; WHEREAS, Mark Murphy shall be paid at the rate of hourly wage $30.71 with an overtime rate of $46.06; therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger acknowledges the hiring of Mark Murphy in the Highway Department, and be it further RESOLVED, that Mark Murphy shall be paid in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Town of Wappinger and the CSEA, Local 1000 AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Town of Wappinger Unit 6673, Dutchess County Local 814, and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town of Wappinger Department of Human Resources shall file the paperwork necessary to effectuate this appointment with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and any other required agency.
