2023-1462023-146 Resolution Authorizing Contract With Clove Excavating For Rental Of Paving Equipment At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 23, 2023. WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger is reconstructing it Highway Garage Facility and a capital account has been established for such purposes; and WHEREAS, as part of the reconstruction work, paving of the facility is required; and WHEREAS, Clove Excavators, Inc. has a contract with Dutchess County Central Services to rent equipment with operators to the County and its municipalities, therefore a contract with Clove Excavators, Inc. does not require the solicitation of bids; and WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town has reviewed the attached invoice for the rental of equipment and recommends that the Town Board approve such a contract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby finds and determines that: 1) The Project is a Type II action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) pursuant to 6 NYCRR 617.5(c)(2). 2) The Town Board hereby approves the proposal from Clove Excavator, Inc. in the form attached hereto in the amount of $35,700.00 to be paid from the capital fund for the highway garage reconstruction. In addition, the professionals estimate the cost of materials for subbase and asphalt to be purchase by town on county bid to be in the neighborhood of $22,000 for asphalt and $20,300 for subbase. The total project estimate all in: labor, machines and materials is $78,000 with a cap of $80,000 3) This resolution shall take effect immediately.
