Resolution Authorizing Costs Incurred Through Executive Order 2024-1

The following Resolution was introduced by Supervisor Cavaccini and seconded by Councilwoman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, on March 12, 2024 the Town of Wappinger purchased property located at 2513 NY Route 9D, and
WHEREAS, following a walkth rough of the property on Sunday, March 17, 2024, significant structural issues were
identified in the former residence on the property, and
WHEREAS, Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini issued Executive Order 2024-1, under the powers granted to him
by Article 2-13 X24 of New York State Executive Law, that a State of Emergency existed in the Town of Wappinger with
respect to the building and premises located at 2513 New York State Route 9D and that immediate measures were
required to cure the aforementioned dangerous and hazardous conditions, and eliminate the threat to the general
public, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby authorize the amount of $40,840.00 to be
paid to FPS, LLC forthe purposes of demolishingthe hazardous structures located at 2513 New York State Route
9D which shall
