2024-1312024-131 Resolution For Approval Of Empress Lease Agreement At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 28, 2024. The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. WHEREAS, the Town and Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. ("Empress") are parties to an Ambulance Service Agreement whereby Empress provides ambulance service to the Town; and WHEREAS, the Town has agreed to lease a portion of the Emergency Services Building located at 16 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York to Empress in accordance with the Lease Agreement to be executed by the parties; and WHEREAS, the pertinent material terms of the Lease Agreement include a $4,000.00 per month rental fee for two garage bays, four main rooms and two restrooms within the aforementioned Emergency Service Building of the Town; and WHEREAS, the term of that Lease Agreement will be from June 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board hereby agrees to execute and enter into that certain Lease Agreement attached hereto with Empress with the terms aforesaid of $4,000.00 per month rental fee for designated bays and offices and incremental increases in rent through the lease term and option period. 3. Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini is hereby authorized to execute the attached Lease Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and Empress, said Lease Agreement having been subsequently reviewed and approved by the Town Attorney. 4. This Resolution is subject to a permissive referendum.
