Resolution Regarding Connection to the United Wappinger Water District for Diamond Properties (aka
Alpine Commons)
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 15, 2024.

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilman Phillips.
WHEREAS, the Town Board is in receipt of a request for the inclusion of Tax Parcel 135689-6157-02-707773
in the United Wappinger Water District to serve the proposed Alpine Commons project consisting of 144
residential units which would require approximately 52,308 gpd; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board, at present, is only permitting additions/connections to its water districts for
properties on an emergency basis, if prior commitments for connections were made by the Town Board related
to or in connection with easements granted to the Town, or for de minimus uses; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board finds that the request is not within the scope of additions /connections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby denies the request to include Tax Parcel
135689-6157-02-707773 in the United Wappinger Water District.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
