The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger is requesting qualifications from professional engineers or firms licensed to practice professional engineering (RFQ) in the State of New York to prepare designs, oversee construction and pursue funding for the design and construction of improvements to the existing water sources that serve the United Water Improvement district; and WHEREAS, this RFQ is intended to allow the Town of Wappinger to engage a qualified consultant in accordance with an open solicitation process in accordance with Federal and State requirements to enable professional services needed to be eligible for repayment using grant and loan program funds. The selected consultant will be required to work collaboratively with the existing project team and must be capable of assisting the Town with securing funding, engineering, and construction phase services required for project implementation. The consultant selected by this RFQ will be required to assist with the preparation of applications for, and administration of Federal Community Grants, State Revolving Fund financing and WIIA grant funding. Once funding is secured, the selected consultant will be required to provide the professional engineering services needed to deliver a completed project; and WHEREAS, a copy of the RFQ to be advertised are attached hereto. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby authorizes its Town Clerk, Joseph Paoloni, to advertise the RFQ in accordance with the Town's policies and procedures in the form and substance annexed hereto.
