WHEREAS, Juan Cabrera LLivipuma has been employed in the Buildings and Grounds Department as a Seasonal Laborer, and WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds advises that Juan Cabrera LLivipuma exhibits an excellent work ethic and eagerness to learn and he is an asset to the operation of the Department, and WHEREAS, the full time Maintenance Worker position is a Labor position under Civil Service Law which is not subject to competitive examination, and WHEREAS, the full-time Maintenance Worker position is subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and Teamsters Local 445 ("CBA"), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. Juan Cabrera LLivipuma is hereby appointed to the full-time civil service job title Maintenance Worker, effective February 10, 2025. 2. Juan Cabrera LLivipuma shall be compensated at the hourly rate of $21.33 which shall be paid in weekly installments, in accordance with the CBA. 3. The appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. The appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources.
