Resolution Adopting Policy On Employee Records
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on June 23,
2025.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. Cavaccini, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Casella.
WHEREAS, the State of New York has amended NY Public Officers Law §87(6) in regard to the public
request of employee records, and
WHEREAS, at the advice of labor counsel it is recommended that the Town of Wappinger come into
compliance with said legislation, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, to come into compliance with NY Public Officers Law §87(6)
the Town Board hereby adopts this policy which shall govern in instances that a request is received
by the Town for Employee disciplinary records.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, when necessary, this policy may be revisited to
determine whether changes to it should be made after such a determination, the Town Board may
amend this policy for whatever reason.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
