A Local Law entitled "Local Law Amending the Zoning Law and the Zoning District
Map of the Town of Wappinger".
BE 1T CNAcrED by the "Town Board of the Town of Wappinger as follows:
Section I: Title.
This law shall be entitled "Local Law Amending the Zoning Law and the Zoning District
Map of the Town of Wappi►lger".
Section 11: Chanac of Zoning Classification.
The 'Zoning District Map previously adopted by the Town Board of the Town of
Wappinger by Local Law No. 6 of 1996, a Local Law Amending the Zoning Law and Zoning
Map of the 'town of Wappinger is further amended by changing the zoning classification of a 1.4
acre parcel of property presently owned by Contrail Associates of Wappinger and being a portion
of a parcel identified as Tax Grid No. 19-6257-01-355604-00, from 1 "Family" Residence R-40
to I "Family" Residence R-20. The parcel to be rezoned is more particularly described in
Schedule "A" attached hereto.
Section III: Zoning Mat).
'fhe Tovell Supervisor is liereby directed to take whatever steps are necessary to have the
Zoning District Map of the "town of Wappinger amended to reflect the zoning changes hereby
adopted and said Supervisor is hereby authorized to retain the services of a professional
engineer, licensed land surveyor or pla►ulillg C011SUltant to aniend the fowls of Wappinger
Zoning Map, within sixty (60) clays from that date of the adoption of this Local Law.
Section 1V: Severability.
The provisions of this Local Law are separable and if any provision, clause, scnter►CC,
subsection, worst or part thereof is held illegal, invalid Or Unconstitutional, or inapplicable to any
person or circumstance, such illegality, invalidity or unconstitutionality, or inapplicability shall not
affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, clauses, sentences, subsections, words or parts of
this Local Law or their application to other persons or circumstar►ces. It is hereby declared to be the
�m legislative intent that this Local Law woulCI have BCCI► adopted il'such illegal, invalid ur
unconstitutional provision, clause, sentence, suhsCclion, word of part had not been ►nCIUCIed therein,
and if such person or circumstance to which the Local Law or part thereof is held inapplicable had
been specifically exempt therefrom.
Section V: Effective Date.
This Local Law shall become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of
State as prescribed by law.
