In 1985 I built a pole barn. At that time I did call the building department and was told that no permit was required as long as there would be no concrete floor. It has been there ever since. Do you remember who the Building Inspector was at the time? No I don't. What do you store in it? One half has wood in it and the other side has pool and lawn equipment in it. How far away from your house did the building dept tell you it had to be? 10 feet. I think we will do a site visit on November 22,2003.
