AT THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY, DOREEN KAUFMAN SLIPPED AND FELL
WHILE READING WATER METERS AND CURRENTLY HAS A LEFT ANKLE
FRACTURE. SHE IS CURRENTLY UNABLE TO READ WATER METERS UNTIL
ORTHOPEDIC ASSOCIATES GIVES HER PERMISSION (DOCTOR'S NOTE
ENCLOSED) TO RETURN TO WORK OR NOTIFIES US SHE IS UNABLE TO
CONTINUE WORKING FOR US. SINCE THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 6,000
HOMES BEING READ IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR BARRY KAUFMAN TO READ
THEM ALL BY HIMSELF.
AT THIS TIME, I AM REQUESTING THE TOWN BOARD TO ALLOW ME TO
TEMPORARILY HIRE ROBERT VIOLA, WHO CURRENTLY WORKS AT THE
TOWN'S RECYCLING CENTER TO TEMPORARILY REPLACE MRS. KAUFMAN
UNTIL SHE IS RECOVERED FROM HER INJURIES OR NOTIFIES US
OTHERWISE.
MR. VIOLA HAS EXPRESSED HIS INTEREST IN HELPING US OUT AS HE IS A
RETIRED PLUMBER AND IS ALREADY EMPLOYED PART TIME BY THE
TOWN. HE WOULD RECEIVE THE SAME RATE AS MRS. KAUFMAN WHICH IS
$1.18 PER HOME.
I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND CONSIDERATION IN THIS MATTER.

Re: Water Meter reader
I would like to be considered for the job of Water Reader Meter for the Town of
Wappinger.
I am a retired plumber. I presently am employed by the Town of Wappinger
working in the Highway Department with the Recycling Center. I have been employed
for three years.
Thank you for your consideration,
Robert J. Viola
