First Item: Adjourned Public Hearing
Appeal No. 01-7103
J oaD Blutreich - Seeking an area variance of Section 240-37 District Regulations for
R-20 Zoning. Where as a 35 foot front setback from road is required, the applicants are
proposing a 30 foot setback therefore requesting a 5-foot variance to have an existing
garaee remain where it is. The property is located at 1 Sky Top Dr. and is identified as
Tax Grid No. 6056-01-259875 in the Town of Wappinger.
Mr. Prager: Motioned to re-open the public hearing
Mr. Lehigh: Need a second
Mr. diPierno: Second
Ms. Blutreich: You all have copies of Witness letter.
(Presented letter to Board - Letter from Mrs. Riggs next door neighbor, who
attested to the fact the garage and house have been in their location for at
least 42 years that she has lived there).
'-'
Mr. Lehigh: She couldn't get a Notary so she had a witness sign.
Does any body have any questions?
Mr. Fanuele: It's been there, but we still have to know what size variance you need.
Ms. Blutreich: I thought we were going for what was on the.....
Mr. Lehigh: Yes, it was the same variance, there wasn't any change in that, then what
it was, originally.
Mr. Fanuele: It was questionable, where it was because you didn't know if it was going
to the edge of the road.
Mr. Lehigh: That's what we decided to go with, the edge of the road.
Ms. Blutreich: To the edge of the road was 18'.
Mr. Lehigh and Mr. Fanuele continued discussion regarding question of size of
variance. Mr. Prager stated his notes say applicant can provide 11 feet
(my notes from last meeting confirmed) variance needed would be 24 feet.

Appeal No. 01-7104
Mr. & Mrs. Richard Loneenberger - Seeking an area variance of Section 240-37 of
District Regulations for R-40 Zoning. Whereas 25 foot side yard setback is required, the
applicants are proposing a side yard setback of 20 feet, therefore requesting a 5-foot
variance to construct a 13' x 14' home office with heat and electric. The property is
located at 76 Brothers Road and is identified as Tax Grid No. 6258-04-995268 in the
Town of Wappinger.
Mr. Lehigh: Can I have a motion to open the public hearing.
Mr. Prager: Are all the mailings in?
Mrs. Gale: All the mailings are in.
Mr. Prager: I make a motion to open the public hearing.
Mr. Warren: Second
Mr. Lehigh: All in favor?
All present voted - Aye
Mr. Lehigh: Can you go over what you're doing again?
Mr. Longenberger: I'm doing two additions off the back, one was approved
the other was under variance, location really can't be altered because of the
septic tank and I have a header existing, that I use as a doorway so it seemed
. reasonable to put it there and the other side of the house, would probably be
the only location I could - I would have to re-construct the whole new
header, I'd have to go through the brick, there no windows on that side.
Mr. Fanuele: We went out and inspected it, actually the part you're adding is less
of a variance then the house itself.
Mr. Longenberger: The front corner is 12.2 feet.
Mr. Fanuele: And where he's putting it keeps the house symmetrical, and the house
was there before zoning.
Mr. Longenberger: The only person who should even see it is, Ralph Holt.
and he had no objections to it.
