RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER
OF THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER
At the reorganization meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger,
Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls,
New York, on the 2nd day of January, 2003, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmen - Robert L. Valdati
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni
Christopher J. Colsey
ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr, . co i spy and seconded by
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger wishes to designate 2 official newspapers
for the Town of Wappinger.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Southern Dutchess News, a
newspaper regularly published in the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York
and having a general circulation in this Town, and being a newspaper entered as second
class main matter, be and the same hereby is designated as the official paper of the Town,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Poughkeepsie Journal, published in
the County of Dutchess and having general circulation therein, be and is designated as an
additional newspaper for the publication of Town Notices, subject to the limitations of
Section 64, Subdivision 11 of the Town Law of the State of New York, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and she hereby
is authorized and directed to give notice of such designation to the publishers of such
newspapers.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
