The Recreation Dept. has been informed that due to illness, injury and other personal
situations, three gymnastic instructors, Shivanyi Pandyi, Rebekah Colon and Gina
Palazzolo, will no longer be able to work on Saturday mornings for our Gymnastics
program. We have 132 registered for this program and because of its popularity,
attendance numbers exceed one -hundred children a week.
This puts us in a very dangerous situation with coverage for these children.
We are asking only to replace these workers, not to add anyone additional to the payroll.
In general this would mean a lesser amount of payroll as the new workers would be
making minimum wage. One replacement is Karolina Harchenko. We do not, at this
time, have the names of the other two replacements.
The instructor, Dawn Turpin-Orgetas has asked if two thirteen -year-olds, Kristen Rose
and Danielle Rose (they will be 14 in two weeks) can stand in, as volunteers only, for
additional coverage. They would not instruct but simply be an extra set of eyes for the
children not using equipment at any given time. Both these young ladies have been
taking gymnastics instructions since they were five -years -old. Will you allow these
young ladies to help us out?
We ask for your permission to rectify this situation as soon as possible. Please advise.

As of this date our Gymnastics program is staffed adequately for the safety of the
participants involved.
With three employees leaving due to various reasons we were able to replace them with
one paid assistant and two volunteers, satisfying our needs so that our program could
continue uninterrupted. Thus, Karolina Harchenko has been hired.
Thank you,
Ralph
