Box 324 Wappingers Falls, New York 12590 ELAINE SNOWDEN TOWN CLERK Attention: Constance O. Smith, Supervisor Reference: Village of Fishkill/Fleetwood Water Interconnection Dear Supervisor Smith & Board Members: A meeting was held on August 12th, 1998, regarding the above referenced interconnection. In attendance were Connie Smith, AI Roberts, Esq., Greg Supple, Esq., Jim Politti, Mike Takacs, Jack Railing and myself. Discussed were the following items: 1. UPDATE ON THE PUMP STATION: The Village of Fishkill pump station summary was given by Jack Railing and Mike Takacs. . It is estimated that the contractor, Sun Up Enterprises, Inc., will start the water line work the week of September 1st, 1998. The generator is complete and is waiting shipment. The pump station hopefully will be shipped in mid-September in the best case scenario, and in the worst case scenario, the end of September. The concrete pad will be prepared in anticipation of delivery of the pump station so that it may be installed as efficiently as possible. The air release valve has not been ordered yet. Mike Takacs will call Sun Up for a shop drawing request. Mike will check the status of the Dutchess County Department of Public Works Permit for the above work. 2. PIPE CONSTRUCTION: Jay Paggi gave an update on this installation. . Nenni Equipment Corp. is proceeding and has reached approximately Station 12 + 00. It is anticipated that the pipe should be complete the week after Labor Day (September 7th, 1998). . Jack Railing asked if the water truck could be more efficiently filled from the Village of Fishkill's Distribution System. I said that I would question Mr. Tremper in regards to said request. Joseph E. Paggi, Jr., P.E. Ernst Martin, Jr., P.E., L.S. Charles R. DelBene, Jr., P.E. .. Constance O. Smith - 2 - Town Board Re: Fiskill/Fleetwood Water Interconnection August 10, 1998 . As the pipe is approaching the Town line, it is recommended that Jim Politti become more of a presence at the construction site to insure that all work within the Fishkill jurisdiction is done to their satisfaction. Coordination of all the items within the Town of Fishkill will be handled through our Inspector and Mr. Politti. . There was a discussion on potential additional users in the Town of Wappinger and Town of Fishkill. They will be treated as a tenant or the District wiil be expanded. The Contiact will need to be updated to handle the additional flows, and all permits from regulatory agencies will need to be applied for and received. 3. NOTIFICATIONS: . The issue of notifications during a mechanical breakdown of the Village System in the future was discussed. It was advised that Jim Politti will initially contact Camo Pollution Control, operators of system, at 463-7310, and place a call to Town Hall at the Supervisor's office at 297-2744. This number is for working hours only (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). The next meeting was set up for September 9th, 1998, at 10:00 a.m. at Town Hall. If there are any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact this office. Ver~trUIY yours~/ / r / -ir!7!E-?--'.' .., 1~ L--Cc.L".. .,/' //;:;:.~ ., I / vJoseph E.
