Attention: Cosntance O. Smith
Reference: Village of Fishkill/Fleetwood Water District Interconnection
Dear Supervisor Smith & Board Members:
A meeting was held on September 9th, 1998 regarding the above referenced
interconnection. In attendance were Jim Politi, Mike Takacs, Mike Tremper and
myself.
Discussed were the following items:
1. UPDA TE ON THE PUMP STA TION:
· The Village of Fishkill pump station update was given by Mike Takacs. It
was reported that the pump station would arrive onsite on Wednesday,
September 30th, 1998. Clearing for the project should start September
10th, 1998. Mike Takacs has been advised by Sun Up Enterprises, that the
permit from the Dutchess County Department of Public Works is in hand.
When the pump station arrives, the concrete slab that the pump station
will rest on will have been installed. All the necessary plumbing, up to and
leaving the pump station will have been completed as will the new electric
service. Mr. Takacs reported that the air release valve will also be installed
by September 30th, 1998.
· The final connections will be made immediately thereafter, which will take
approximately one (1) week, with final testing to be complete within one
(1) week after that. Therefore, the pump station will be online by October
15t\ 1998 baring unforeseen circumstances.
2. PIPE CONSTRUCTION:
· I reported that there had been 2,498' of pipe installed, up to and including,
September 8th, 1998. There is approximately 100:t' left to make the tie-
in, and 225' near the meter pit, which is left out.

. On September 10th and 11 th, the meter pit and pressure reducing valve
pit will be installed by Nenni Equipment. The pipeline should be
completed by September 15th, 1998, with testing to begin immediately.
It is anticipated that the pipe will be put in service some time the week
of September 21"t, 1998.
. Jim Politi advised that the shut-down of the existing Village of Fishkill
system near Continental Drive will be done on Thursday, September
10th, 1998, starting at 8:30 a.m., and all appropriate letter have been
handed out.
. The possibility of supplying the Fleetwood Water District with Fishkill
water prior to the pump station being completed will be handled
between Camo Pollution Control and Jim Politi.
The next meeting was not scheduled. It was recommended that the following
meeting should be setup sometime during the testing of the pump station, which
should take place the second week in October. I would ask that Mike Takacs and
Jim Politi call this office as to when they feel an appropriate date would be, and I
will set the meeting up.
If there are any other questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
