Reference:
Hindu Samaj Sewer Line
Dear Mr. Ricotta:
During our testing and field observations of the newly constructed
manholes and the sewer line on Brown Road, it has become obvious to us
that there is a significant amount of infiltration, silt and mud getting into
the main line on Brown Road from the partially constructed service
connection leading from the road to the Hindu Samaj Temple.
A field inspection today by Dare Fitzpatrick of Camo Pollution Control
indicated that the 6" plug that we had in the service line had blown out
due to the pressure of the infiltration in their 6" line. This had allowed a
significant amount of extraneous water, silt and mud to enter into the
newly constructed main on Brown Road.
At this point, we will require the following:
1. The 6" service connection from the road to the Hindu
Samaj Temple shall not be placed in service until it has
passed the inspection of this office and Camo Pollution
Control.
2. The owners of the Hindu Samaj and/or their contractor
shall suitably clean the existing main on Brown Road to
the satisfaction of Camo Pollution Control.
3. No Certificate of Occupancy shall be issued until the
above work has been done.
Please note that I have asked Mr. Fitzpatrick to plug and brace the 6"
service connection at the main so that no additional infiltration and/or
siltation can enter the line on Brown Road.
