Grogan \ Date: March 10, 1997 Re: Environmental Bond Act Correspondence/Phase 3A Two letters have been received relevant to funding under the Environmental Bond Act. The first is a copy of a letter from Assemblyman Joel Miller to Stephen Bobarakis of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (N.Y.S.D.E.C.), requesting a formal application for funding on behalf of the Town of Wappinger. Although redundant, this will help ensure that we receive our application as soon as they are made available. The second letter is from John P. Cahill, acting commissioner of the N.Y.S.D.E.C. It announces a meeting on Wednesday, March 12, to discuss the scoring criteria to be used for the ranking of proposed projects, as well as the application process itself. The letter also states that another set of meetings will be held sometime in late March to provide additional details on each of the Bon.d Act programs. At this time, I am formally requesting an application to receive funding from the Water Pollution Control Program of the Environmental Bond Act. This section of the Bond Act is important to the Town of Wappinger because it deals with sewage treatment upgrades. I have enclosed all relevant information concerning this request and ask that this municipality be sent an application when they become available. Thank you for your time and consideration.
