Camo Memo Dated April 14, 1997
Attention:
Dear Supervisor Smith & Board Members:
I am in receipt of a memo dated April 14, 1997 from Michael Tremper of
Camo Pollution Control regarding the operation of the sewer and water
facilities during the power outage that recently occurred.
I have reviewed the memo and would advise the Board that I am in total
agreement with Camo's recommendation that some type of formal plan
be arrived at to provide temporary power to the facilities that provide
these services to the Town residents.
I would like to point out, that under the Proposed Combined Wappinger
Water Improvement the providing of these temporary facilities could be
limited to a smaller number of sites as the centralization of the facilities
will allow this.
Concurrently, under the proposal for the next phase of Sewer
Improvement, a certain number of the existing pump stations are
proposed to be abandoned. This will also allow for the lessening of the
number of emergency power generators required.
As a side light, I would like to commend Camo for their diligent efforts
during these trying times, and acknowledge the exemplary service they
provide.
Very truly yours,
~~~~~
