Flavormatic Sewer
Attention:
Dear Supervisor Smith & Board Members:
At the last Town Board meeting, the Flavormatic sewer bill was
discussed. I researched our file and found correspondence from April 6,
1995 regarding their sewer bill.
In that correspondence, I noted that their daily water usage was
approximately 172 GPD which is in the range (but less than) one single
family dwelling unit. The Board at that time made a decision to reduce
the multiplier from 22, which it previously was, to 10. I think that was
based on other neighboring municipalities sewer and water rates.
If the Board wishes us to further research the item at this point in time,
please do not hesitate to contact this office.
Very truly yours,
C';/~~ f?,~

Flavormatic Water/Sewer
Dear Supervisor Smith:
As previously instructed, we have analyzed the water usage for
Flavormatic Industries to aid the Board in determining their sewer bill.
An analysis of the water consumption from Mike Tremper's February
17, 1995 memo indicates that their daily usage is 172 gallons per day.
This would be in the range of one single family dwelling unit.
At this time, the Town Board must make a decision as to the multiplier
that should be used for commercial rates versus residential rates.
I have enclosed a list of other neighboring municipalities for your use
and review.
For the Board's information, residents in the Rockingham Sewer District
now pay $75.00 per quarter flat rate charge for operation and
maintenance services. Flavormatic was assessed at 22 taps, years ago,
and therefore pays $1,650.00 per quarter.
I believe the multiplier should be somewhere between 1.0 and 22.0.
However, that final decision rests with the Board.
Please note that if a decision is made to change this during the
Operation and Maintenance year of 1995, there will be an impact on the
incoming revenues for that district, and therefore, would impact the
district :budget.

I would recommend before you make any decision that you contact Ann
Buckley to determine what this impact would be and if it would be a
negative impact.
If there are any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact this
office.
