SNO'NtJEN Town Clork Town Board Town of Wappinger Box 324 20 Middlebush Road Wappingers F0l1s, New York 12590 Reference: Survey Wage Rates Dear Board Members: I have been informed by the New York State Department of Labor that effective July 1, 1989, we must pay prevailing wage rates for consulting engineering survey work that we do for the Town of Wappinger or for any other municipality in the State of New Ycrk. I have enclosed various correspondence from the State relative to tllis. Included in this definition of survey work would be feasibility on preliminary work that will be done ror public work projects. Although the amount of work we do for the Town presently in this category is not significant, I feel that I must inform you of this. Naturallv, the billable rates that we have for these categories must go up to reflect the actual wage we must pay our employee. I have prepared a table for your review that will show the new hourly wage and the new billable rate. As you can see, the new billable rate will almost double from the existing billabl~~ rate. . If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me in this matter. Very truly yours, ~~ fa .
