Dear Board Members:
This letter is written to relay the conclusions of a meeting
held between this office, Michael Tremper of CAMO Pollution
Control, and Peter Marlow, P.E., of the Dutchess County
Health Department, on the above referenced water system.
Wappinger Park Water
The proposed improvements to this system were to be
constructed by February 19, 1990 (as per a Dutchess County
Health Department letter dated December 19, 1990). Our
office informed Mr. Marlow that the delay in submitting
plans was due to the unusually long Water Supply Application
approval process. Mr. Marlow expressed his concerns
relative to the existing conditions at the pumphouse, and it
was agreed upon that plans will be submitted to his office
by April 1, 1990. Since the Dutchess County Health
Department wishes to implement the proposed system
improvements as expeditiously as possible, we would ask that
the Town begin the funding;approval process as soon as
possible.

The proposed chlorine contact f~cilities for both the
Hilltop and Rockingham water systems were to have been
installed by February, 1990, (as per a Dutchess County Health
Department letter dated December 4, 1990). Obviously, these
deadlines cannot be met. Again Mr. Marlow expressed his
concerns about the delay, and it was agreed upon that the
proposed chlorine contact facilities would be installed as
soon as possible. Sample Bond Anticipation Note (B.A.N.)
calculations were submitted to the Town Board by this office
(see our letter of January.24, 1990). We would ask that the
Town begin the funding approval as soon as possible, and
that we be given authorization to prepare the necessary
contract documents for the project.
Tall Trees Water District
The proposed chlorine contact facilities and completed works
for well #2 for the Tall Trees water system have a
construction deadline of March 31, 1990, (as per a Dutchess
County Health Department letter dated December 4, 1989).
Sample Bond Anticipation Note (B.A.N.) calculations were
submitted to the Town Board by this office (see our letter
of January 23, 1990). We would ask that the Town begin the
funding approval process as soon as possible.
In general, Mr. Marlow, while expressing concern over the
delays in implementation, agreed that formal action by his
office could be avoided if .the Town pursued the matters in a
timely fashion. For this reason, it is of the utmost
importance that the proposed project fundings be addressed
as soon as possible.
