RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IDGHW A Y SUPERINTENDENT TO GO OUT
TO BID TO SELL EXCESS EQUIPMENT
At the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 24th day of March, 2003, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor
Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmen
Robert L. Valdati
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni
Christopher 1. Colsey
ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Bettina
and seconded
by Mr. Paoloni
WHEREAS, Graham Foster, Highway Superintendent to the Town of Wappinger
has requested in a letter to the Town Board dated March 14, 2003, to go out to bid to sell
excess equipment which the Town no longer uses, and
WHEREAS, the excess equipment which is to be sold is as follows:
Ford bronco II previously used by Building Inspector
Ford Escort Station Wagon previously used by Fire Inspector
13 bias ply tires, new and used no longer compatible with Town trucks (to
be sold as one lot)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if
fully set forth and adopted herein.
2. Graham Foster Highway Superintendent to the Town of Wappinger is
hereby authorized to go out to bid to sell excess equipment as outlined in
his letter to the Town Board dated March 14, 2003.
3. The equipment to be sold is as follows;
Ford bronco II previously used by Building Inspector
Ford Escort Station Wagon previously used by Fire Inspector
13 bias ply tires, new and used no longer compatible with Town
trucks (to be sold as one lot)
The foregoing was put to a vote, which resulted as follows:

SUBJECT: EXCESS EQUIPMENT
I would like the board's permission to go to bid to sell the following:
1) An abandoned VW sedan that was towed to the Highway Dept. last summer from a
recreation park.
2) One Ford Bronco II that was previously used by our Building Inspector.
3) One Ford Escort station wagon that was previously used by our Fire Inspector.
4) An assortment of 13 bias ply tires, both new and used for trucks that we no longer
own. These tires cannot be mixed with our current radials and most are odd sizes. All 13
tires should be sold as one lot.

WHEREAS, Graham Foster, Highway Superintendent to the Town of Wappinger, has
provided an award recommendation to the Town Board; and
