The attached statements, which are in compliance with Sections
103-a, 103-b and 103-d of the General Municipal Law, must be signed

In addition, corporate bidders must execute and attach a
certified copy of a resolution authorizing the execution of the
non-collusion certificate be the signator of the bid on behalf of the
corporate bidder.
No bid will be considered which does not comply with the fore-

MATERIAL SPREADER:"-
CONSTRUCTION: The hopper (spreader) body is to be of all welded construction. The
ends and sides of the hopper shall be constructed from single unspliced sheets of
#10 gauge steel, sides and ends supported by eight (8) vertical steel ribs of the
same material as the hopper. The sides shall be sloped no less than 45 degrees for
the twenty four (24) inch chute width. The ends of the spreader are also to be at
a slope to insure more uniform delivery of material to the conveyor. The four (4)
bracing ribs on each side of the body shall extend vertically along the full height
of the slope. They shall be welded to the sides and to the 4" structural channels
which form a sub frame to support the underbody of the spreader. The bottom "wear"
plate shall be of 3/16" material.

DISCHARGE: The spreader shall be designed as a l!..frunt . ischarge" unit allowing the
material to be spread in front of the drive axle of the chassis. The width of the
discharge opening of the spreader is 24". The height of the discharge opening is
to be manually adjustable through a locking lever attached to the chute. The gate
shall be adjustable through a range of approximately 10". The gate shall be "ruled"
for ease of measurement. The opening at the rear "idler" end of the spreader shall
e equ4pped with a wiper to reduce spillage.
A 7" minimum #10 gauge channel assembly ahall connect the sides of the
the middle. This channel shall be flush mounted with the top of the unit
the dual purpose of an intermediate screen support.
LIFTING EYES: There shall be five (5) lifting eyes provided. Four (4) eyes are to
be welded, one (1) at each corner of the spreader. The fifth eye shall be located
on the cross brace.
SCREEN FRAME SUPPORT: The screen frame support shall be fabricated from 2" square
tubing which shall be an integral part of the hopper assembly.
The spreader shall be furnished with a four (4) section top screen kit.
The screens shall be fabricated from 3/8" wire with 3" by 3" openings. The screen
sections shall be welded to 2" by 2" by 3/16" angle material frame members. The
screens shall be supported by and pivot on a 211 0.0. pipe installed longitudinally
the full length of the hopper. The screen pivot member shall be 8" higher than the
hopper assemblyallowing for a sloping of the screens.
CONVEYOR: The conveyor chain shall be a self cleaning, heavy-duty, pintle type
chain: 667-x with a 2.250 pitch. The chain shall be a riveted pin construction,
having a pin diameter of 7/16". The flight bars shall be a minimum of 1/2" by
3/4" and shall be on maximum 6-1/2" centers. The chain shall be installed so that
flights sweep the bed plate, minimizing chain wear. The chain shall be driven by
two (2) eight tooth heavy sprockets on 15" centers. Overall width of the chain
shall be 20" for the 24" chute. There shall be longitudinal covers as an extension
of the hopper sides to protect the chain. The conveyor shall be driven through a
25:1 ratio speed reducing worm gear assembly which in turn shall be driven by a
low speed high torque motor assembly.
IDLER SPROCKETS: The spreader shall be constructed with two (2) heavy-duty idler
sprockets, bearingmounted to support the chain assembly at its mid point.
SPINNER ASSEMBLY: The spinner assembly shall consist of an abrasion resistant 18"
diameter disc with six (6) replaceable vanes. The spinner shall be driven by a
high torque orbital motor. The spinner assembly shall be located between the cab
of the chassis and the fornt of the rear wheels of the chassis. Proper deflectors
shall be provided for the unit. 18 inch polyurethane spinner disc.

103-a, 103-b and 103-d of the General Municipal Law, must be signed
by the bidder.
In addition, corporate bidders must execute and attach a
certified copy of a resolution authorizing the execution of the
non-collusion certificate be the signator of the bid on behalf of the
corporate bidder.
No bid will be considered which does not comply with the fore-
going required statements.
6 YARD CAPACITY SANDER INSTALLED INTO 9 FT. BODY
ATERIAL SPREADER /-
[ONSTRUCTION: The hopper (spreader) body is to be of all welded construction. The
ends and sides of the hopper shall be constructed from single unspliced sheets of
#10 gauge steel, sides and ends supported by eight (8) vertical steel ribs of the
same material as the hopper. The sides shall be sloped no less than 45 degrees for
the twenty four (24) inch chute width. The ends of the spreader are also to be at
a slope to insure ~ore uniform delivery of material to the conveyor. The four (4)
~racing ribs on each side of the body shall extend vertically along the full height
pf the slope. They shall be welded to the sides and to the 4" structural channels
~hich form a sub frame to support the underbody of the spreader. The bottom "wear"
I late shall be of 3/16" material.
:DISCHARGE: The spreader shall be designed as a '~.~~i~~lischarge" unit allowing the
material to be spread in front of the drive axle of the chassis. The width of the
discharge opening of the spreader is 24". The height of the discharge opening is
.to be manually adjustable through a locking lever attached to the chute. The gate
.shall be adjustable through a range of approximately 10". The gate shall be "ruled"
for ease of measurement. The opening at the rear "idler" end of the spreader shall
e equipped with a wiper to reduce spillage.
RACING: A 7" minimum #10 gauge channel assembly ahall connect the sides of the
hopper at the middle. This channel shall be flush mounted with the top of the unit
and serve the dual purpose of an intermediate screen support.
LIFTING EYES: There shall be five (5) lifting eyes provided. Four (4) eyes are to
be welded, one (1) at each corner of the spreader. The fifth eye shall be located
on the cross brace.
FRAME SUPPORT: The screen frame support shall be fabricated from 2" square
which shall be an integral part of the hopper assembly.
The spreader shall be furnished with a four (4) section top screen kit.
:. he screens shall be fabricated from 3/8" wire with 3" by 3" openings. The screen
, ections shall be welded to 2" by 2" by 3/1611 angle material frame members. The
~creens shall be supported by and pivot on a 2" 0.0. pipe installed longitudinally
~he full length of the hopper. The screen pivot member shall be 8" higher than the
hopper assembly allowing for a sloping of the screens.
CONVEYOR: The conveyor chain shall be a self cleaning, heavy-duty, pintle type
chain: 667-x with a 2.250 pitch. The chain shall be a riveted pin construction,
having a pin diameter of 7/1611. The flight bars shall be a minimum of 1/2" by
:3/4" and shall be on maximum 6-1/2" centers. The chain shall be installed so that
flights sweep the bed plate, minimizing chain wear. The chain shall be driven by
.two (2) eigh t tooth heavy sprockets on 1511 centers. Overall width of the chain
'shall be 20" for the 24" chute. There shall be longitudinal covers as an extension
of the hopper sides to protect the chain. The conveyor shall be driven through a
25:1 ratio speed reducing worm gear assembly which in turn shall be driven by a
low speed high torque motor assembly.
IDLER SPROCKETS: The spreader shall be constructed with two (2) heavy-duty idler
sprockets, bearingmounted to support the chain assembly at its mid point.
,:SPINNER ASSEMBLY: The spinner assembly shall consist of an abrasion resistant 18"
Idiameter disc with six (6) replaceable vanes. The spinner shall be driven by a
high torque orbital motor. The spinner assembly shall be located between the cab
of the chassis and the fornt of the rear wheels of the chassis. Proper deflectors
.shall be provided for the unit. 18 inch polyurethane spinner dis c.
