Resolution Authorizing Town Accountant and Bookkeeper to Attend the NYS Office of the State
Comptroller Governmental Accounting Training Conference
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 26, 2009.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Paoloni and seconded by Councilman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Town Accountant and Town Bookkeeper attended an introductory level
governmental accounting training program as presented by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller on
April 21 -23, 2009; and
WHEREAS, a written request seeking authorization for attendance at the advanced governmental
accounting training program has been submitted by the Town Accountant on May 13, 2009, for two
employees to attend a two and a half day governmental accounting program as presented by the NYS
Office of the State Comptroller, on October 27-29, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the cost for attendance is One Hundred Dollars and 00/100 ($100.00) per
governmental employee
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Town
.Accountant and the Town Bookkeeper to attend a two and a half day governmental accounting course as
presented by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller on October 27-29, 2009, in North Hempstead, New
York, at the cost of One Hundred Dollars and 00/100 ($100.00) per governmental employee as financed
through budget line A1315.407.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Re: Accounting Principles and Procedures
I would like to request approval to attend the advanced training school on Accounting
Principles and Procedures. This is a follow up course on Introduction to Governmental
Accounting that was held in April 2009. This course will be beneficial in building upon
the concepts and principles learnt in the introductory course. The cost will be financed
from 2009 budget (A1315.407):

class. This will permit sufficient time for you to receive your textbook by mail and to review it before
attending. Since payment is required, you must print and mail the registration form with the payment.
Please remember to check the location you wish to attend. Registrations are accepted on a first come
first served basis and class size is limited to fifty participants.
Checks should be payable to the STATE COMPTROLLER and mailed with this form to:

Once payment has been received a registration confirmation letter will be mailed to you along with
the textbook and directions to the facility. If you have any questions or require a reasonable

Refunds for cancellations will be granted only if OSC is notified at least 7 days prior to the
class. Cancellations made after the cut-off date may receive credit towards a future class
but will not be eligible for a cash refund.
The Office of the State Comptroller reserves the right to cancel a training school if there
is not a sufficient number registered within three weeks of the class. In this event,
registrations will be refunded.
